Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public broad access to many court records, but Nash County does not use separate county-run trial courts. Superior Court, District Court, magistrate functions, estate files, special proceedings, traffic cases, and divorce judgments all connect back to the state court system and the Nash County Clerk of Superior Court. Marriage certificates and deeds belong with the Register of Deeds, custody status may involve the Sheriff's Office or VINE, and state prison records are searched through NC DAC. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
